Early Morning Start – 6:00 AM
The day begins before sunrise, as most heating emergencies don’t wait for convenient hours. With my Basin Service van fully stocked the night before, I head out to tackle my first service call in Moses Lake.
Morning Routine – 7:30 AM
First stop is a commercial kitchen with cooling issues. Working in Eastern Washington means understanding the unique climate challenges our clients face. The temperature swings in our region can be extreme, making reliable HVAC systems crucial for local businesses.
Mid-Morning – 9:45 AM
Heading to Ephrata for a scheduled furnace maintenance call. Preventive maintenance is vital in our industry – it’s always better to catch potential issues before they become emergency situations during those cold winter nights.
Lunch Break – 12:00 PM
Quick stop for lunch while reviewing afternoon appointments. Our service area covering Moses Lake, Ephrata, and Othello keeps us moving throughout the day.
Afternoon – 1:30 PM
The afternoon involves:
- Diagnosing a faulty heat exchanger in Othello
- Installing new thermostats for an office complex
- Conducting routine maintenance on commercial refrigeration units
Late Afternoon – 4:00 PM
Final scheduled call of the day involves troubleshooting a commercial ventilation system. These jobs require attention to detail and thorough system knowledge to ensure proper air quality and temperature control.
End of Day – 5:30 PM
Time to restock the service van and complete paperwork. While the scheduled day is ending, we remain on call for emergency service – because comfort and safety don’t clock out at 5:00 PM.
Working in HVAC service means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable year-round. It’s rewarding to know our work makes a difference in homes and businesses throughout Eastern Washington.
